Intermediate/Junior girls ace their grades!

This weekend our Intermediate & Junior girls took part in their first ever grades at Robin Park Leisure Centre, and what an amazing job they did!

There are three levels that gymnasts can achieve in their grades: a pass, commended or distinction (distinction being the highest level). All of our gymnasts performed fantastically on the day, with each of them passing at distinction level.

The grade rules have been changed recently with the competition being split into two different categories, County (ours being Greater Manchester) and Region, North West.

In the first round of our gymnasts Scarlett Boslem was crowned Greater Manchester champion, with her placing 2nd on Vault and Beam. In the same round Serena Omeje placed 3rd and Elisabelle Cheung 4th overall in the County.

On the following day we had more brilliant news as Maia Lewis came 1st on Bars, 2nd on Vault, and 3rd on Floor making her champion of both the County and Region. Poppy Lawson also performed very well coming 2nd on Bars and placing 2nd overall in Greater Manchester and 4th in North West.

It was great to see so many hard-working and happy gymnasts. It’s safe to say our coaches could not be prouder of these achievements!
